On the Preferences screen, you can control settings for the display of firewall notices and for automated decision-making.
Firewall notices are messages that display to give you information, but do not require a decision from you. Select this option (recommended) to display these notices.

The IntelliDefense feature analyzes programs attempting communication and then makes automated decisions based on the program's purpose and threat level. Select this option (recommended) to enable IntelliDefense.

Displays for Windows Vista users only:
Allow firewall to process all Internet Explorer® communication
Select this option to turn off Internet Explorer's Protected Mode and allow iolo Personal Firewall to process all browser communication using its security policies. Clear the option to leave Protected Mode on, allowing certain communication to pass without scrutiny by the firewall.
Once you have made your selections, click Next to open the Trusted Web Sites screen.
